When I was crouched next to him on the ground, he looked at me as though studying my appearance. I could feel his fear and disgust begin to rise. I was dirty, I smelled, and I looked different from him in subtle ways. He could tell something was awry, but could not understand it. I read his thoughts; he was looking for signs of disease or plagues from other areas close to this town. His mind was saying that I looked sick, but acted healthy. He could not understand it. I finished browsing his wares.

“I find nothing of value here.” I said, but perhaps you have something else I desire.”

He was angered at a lost sale but interested in my newest offer. Apparently there was one thing that this human would be willing to delay his meeting in town for.

“What be ye looking for? Some pleasure perhaps?” he offered with no tact or romantic inclinations whatsoever.

“I am interested in what you can give me that does not come from your bag.” I replied, knowing full well he would assume pleasures of the flesh.

A smile came across his face, and he nodded to the bushes deep in the woods.

“Come with me and let me show you what I hold not of my bag.” he said, heading into the woods.

I followed, pleased to finally be receiving my first meal. Deeply enough in the woods, he turned to me and pulled me close to him. He held no gentleness and no kindness. He held nothing that would cause any woman to desire him. His touch was as that of a pirate. He was rough calloused and uncaring. The only thing he cared for was meeting his own desires and needs. I had enough of this monstrous game, I leaned in to bite. My fangs sunk deeply into his flesh with ease, tearing the skin carelessly. He howled and yelled curses at me. I did not care, in only a minute or two he would be far too weak to continue screaming in my ear. I drank quickly, my body stealing his warmth, and my thirst slowly being quenched. Eventually he dropped to the ground, dead. I picked up his bag of wares, slid them over my shoulder, and continued toward town. Now the hunt would be a delight. I could always enjoy the sport of the hunt as soon as my immediate thirst pangs were dissolved. I was still hungry, but it is as you humans are when sitting down to your meal. Your first few bites leave you hungered for more, but your pangs are greatly decreased.
